Multilayer solid beech wood with a heavy damping composite between the layer and multilayer (up to more than 16 layers) high gloss 2 components polyester top finishing, makes the cabinet free of resonance and the absolute darkness of the sonic background is achieved. The mirror matching of the exotic burl veneer gives the finishing touch of the art design.
To achieve a cleaner lower and mid octave, a special design of tip toes using a combination of soft and extreme hard steel is used to support the speaker, and to assure a life time use.

I adore the Venture Grand Excellence speaker ever since it featured with diamond tweeters. At its best (matching with all Venture equipment and of course in a reasonable size room of no less than 14' x 22'), music is flowing with vivid, crystal, sparkling image. Music is supported by a wide, large, deep and high contrast sound field. Listening to Venture's system as such is breathless to me. The latest version of Grand Excellence III debuted in CES 2006 had a big change -- no more diamond tweeter! With a new small aperture AMT tweeter and all Venture drivers, the super speaker once again gave me a surprise like never before.

I auditioned the new Grand Excellence III with my CD collections in Venture’s room. We audio reviewers used to apply all kinds of "fancy words" to descript the quality of sound. For the matter of Grand Excellence III, I opted not to worry about "words" anymore, just cherish the time I had for listening enjoyment. I know the history of AMT tweeter well, and always in love with its utmost dynamic, effortless wide bandwidth resolution attribute. The usual drawback of AMT is a bit of dryness, and lack of pin-point imaging. However, I heard none of these imperfections here, but the best and beyond best of what the AMT can do from Grand Excellence III. In my opinion Venture is truly the most successful user of AMT tweeter on earth.
