PSC PHILOSOPHY
· CABLE DESIGN AND MECHANICAL TUNING
P.S.C cables are constructed by a combination three methodologies: Litz construction, single core and twisted pair design. All conductors isolated separately (Litz) are better for transmitting high frequencies than multi-strand. Solid wire is advantageous because it can conduct high current or high frequencies more efficiently than standard wire ( Source: Wire and Cable for Electronics by Neil Scalter). Our designers mastered the twisting methods in cables by trying different constructions and later testing them on over forty high-end systems. Most other cables available on the market are made using the same techniques applied to the production of telephone wires, where the hi-fi standards are not required.

Pristine R-70 Bi-Wire Speaker Cable
This cable is our second step-up in a flat ribbon design. It is much like the R-50 but has twice the surface area of silver alloy ribbon. It also incorporates the use of separate sleeving for plus and minus leads, which makes it very tunable. The greater the surface area the better and deeper the bass will be. This cable is hard to beat at any price!

CABLE TERMINATION
During the terminating process, the first contact is mechanical - where the conductor is fitted tightly into RCA, XLR or BNC positive pin and then soldered using silver solder (which in fact contains only 4% silver ). The top of the range PSC cables (CUSTOM and STELLA) have their termination, including soldered parts, completely silver and gold plated with five coats of each metal.
This process also ensures the maximum possible conductivity. All plugs used are custom modified for better mechanical acceptance of the larger profile conductor end. This shaping process dramatically improves signal flow by decreasing resistance at the termination point.
The team at P.S.C. believe strongly that our cables should be treated as matching components within all types of replay systems. For all purposes and grades of equipment there is the ideal matching cable in our wide range. Our cables are not just accessories. System synergy and balance is our only goal at all price points.

 This cable starts in our facility as Pure Silver and Pure Gold ingots. The silver is melted, formed into ribbons, and than fully annealed as are all of the silver ribbon used in our cables. Some of the ribbons are processed in a proprietary manner with Pure Gold. Both the Pure Silver ribbons and the Gold Plated Pure Silver ribbons are placed in air dielectric tubes. The resulting sound is very clean, warm, rhythmic, and musical. The addition of Pure Gold provides a smooth analog magic to the music. Utilizing the benefits of twisted pair technology very low level micro detail comes through clearly against a very quiet background.

PSC Custom Speaker Cable
 The PSC Custom is an absolute treat to listen to for hours on end. It incorporates much of the same design as the PSC Litz-3 but uses twice as many pure silver ribbons in its construction. The plus and minus leads are separated in separate sleeving and artistically covered in high quality soft Australian black leather. The resulting sound is smoother and quieter with more deep base than the Litz-3. The terminations are heavily pure silver plated and connected to the ribbons in a proprietary manner that eliminates resistance in the connections. No smoke & mirrors, just uncomparible beautifully balanced natural sound over the entire audio spectrum down to the most subtle micro-detail.

Pristine R-50 Bi-Wire Speaker Cable
This PSC cable is our first step-up incorporating silver alloy ribbon with more surface area and is designed using separate sleeving for the plus and minus conductors. This allows you to "tune" the sound of the cable to your system to find the balance you desire between speed and warmth. By separating the plus and minus leads differently the cable's capacitance is altered thus having a large affect on the sound. This cable is a Stereophile Recommended Component!

 This is our entry level interconnect in the Silver / Gold Series utilizing Copper, Silver, and Gold, which by comparison to our competition is no entry level at all. We start with fully annealed 6N copper conductors and heavily plate with pure silver and just the right amount of pure gold to achieve the desired sound. Then the conductors are placed in an air dielectric which is fully shielded. This cable provides detailed yet smooth music with a very quiet background that is a bit more laid back than the Pristine-8 adding a touch of that coveted analog magic that tubes famous for having.

PSC Copper Power cord
 The PSC Copper design is made from large gage strands of fully annealed pure 6N copper which are formed into twisted pairs for natural shielding. The design is much like the PST Power but performs very differently without the pure silver plating.This powercord is best suited for solid-state amplifier that need a touch smoothness to help create better rhythm and a warmer more musical flow. It is a great performer in this application. The IEC plug and 120vac plug are both heavily gold plated.

Pristine Power Cord
 Through application of material science, some basic physics, many iterations, and a lot of listening this design has proven to be a very solid contributor for many years. The design uses a few strands of large gage solid core 6N copper plated heavily with pure silver. Properly insulated in an air dielectric the conductors are twisted for natural shielding purposes. Both the IEC plug and the 120vac plug are heavily gold plated for corrosion resistance and to help achieve the desired sonic performance. The result is sharp natural imaging, smooth but detailed mids and highs, and solid fast bass. A great performer with all your audio and video components.

PSC MK-1 Silver Power Cord
 The Silver Power MK-1 design is the first step-up from the PST Power model. The conductors are large gage strands of solid core fully annealed pure silver, which are contained in an air dielectric and formed into a twisted pair. Gold plated plugs are the same as the PST Power. Its performance goes even further in the same direction as the PST Power displaying more refined sonic properties. The imaging is sharper yet smooth and the bass is more solid, fast and musical. This cord, because of the MK-1 design, is better for low-level signal components such as players, preamps, DAC's, turn tables, etc.
