VZN-100 MKIII Monoblock OTL Amplifier

The VZN-100 monoblock amplifiers are our original core design and are 100 watt masterpieces. Seen at hi-fi shows for years, and garnering great praise we might add, the Marquis are simply perfect for moderate size systems and speakers. The Grand Marquis Monobloc amplifiers are true workhorses in the best sense of the word. VZN-300 Destiny Monoblock Amplifier

The Destiny Monobloc amplifiers are the flagship of Joule-Electra line of OTL amplifiers. These amplifers, in essence are identical to the Rite of Passage Monobloc amplifiers, however, with four more output tubes. Specs are the same with 300 watts output. The Destiny are designed to function in very large scale systems and couple with even the most demanding loudspeaker to yield truly "great" realization of any musical experience. If your system and room are capable of this level of performance, then these amplifiers are probably for you. The winner of a Golden Ear Award from HP of The Absolute Sound in August 2007 and still being discussed, Destiny is arguably, the most capable amplifier on the planet.

Fully balanced LA-450ME
|
"The LA-450 ME has has two, four tube each, balanced signal boards. It has the four balanced inputs (XLR). There are two balanced outputs as well as a single ended tape input and out put. One pair of the balanced outputs may have an optional separate volume control to facilitate the integration of another amp for the subwoofer. This volume control is a shunt to ground design which does not degrade the sound and may be used for either amplifier. LA-300ME Pre-Amplifier

The LA-300ME incorporates all the features that have made the LA series of preamps the most sought after preamp in Hi End Audio. It incorporates exotic capacitors through out and signal wiring designed specifically for Joule Electra by well known cable designer David Elrod of Elrod Power Systems. The signal wiring combines a combination of 6 nines silver and copper in a unique transmission line configuration that David has just developed for his premier interconnects. The signal path capacitors are a mix of V-Caps and Mundorf Silver, Gold and Oil caps which represents the very best capacitors available to the High End Audio Community. The "super chargers" in the power supplies are huge Mundorf M-TubeCap capacitors which combine a high degree of dielectric strength and low residual inductivity. LA-150 MK.II Line Stage Pre-Amplifier
|
The original LA-150 was introduced in 2001 and has since become one of the most sought after Preamps in Hi End Audio. This version uses Russian Military tubes which many purist audiophiles have been delighted with it’s overall sonic signature. A typical example of this is Steve Hoffman of “Digital Compact Classics”. The new version, dubbed LA-150 MII, uses the same topology as the original design but both the Mu Follower and Gain Stages now use the NOS 6350. This tube has long been out of production but we have several thousand of these tubes on hand. We have been using this tube for over 12 years in the LA-100 and our OTL's so it was only natural for us to try it in our newest preamp. Needless to say, we have been gratified with the success of this refinement. The Mark II possesses all the best characteristics of the original while having improved ambience and timbral recovery providing a more musical presentation and satisfying spectral balance.

Joule Electra is introducing it newest version of well known LA-150. The new preamp is a highly refined version of the LA-150 MkII which incorporates exotic capacitors in output stage as well as some other changes similar to that of our new flagship, Marianne Electra Memorial Preamp LA-300ME - however, at much more affordable price. In developing this version of the 150 our quest was for a more fleshed out and musical sonic signature of LA-300ME while retaining the robust nature of the Mark II, the winner of HP of TAS Golden Ear Award 2007. We are delighted that we achieved this goal and the result is a remarkable preamp possessing all the virtues that most audiophiles desire in a line amplifier.

The LAP-150MkII’s are the ultimate combination and synthesis of the acclaimed LA-150MkII line stage and the state of the art OPS-1 MkIII All-Tube Med/High gain phono stages. A two-chassis component (preamp and outboard power supply), the LAP’s accommodate multiple sources with full control and switching functions. Balance control (out of the signal path), a mono switch, tape loops along with the superb OPS Med/High gain phono stage are all included . This phono stage belongs to the series of audio component dedicated to the memoriam of the Co-founder of Joule Electra, Marianne Electra Barber who passed away after a long illness in May 2007.
The new Joule-Electra flagship phono stage, Marianne Electra Memorial Preamp OPS-4 ME incorporates all the features that have made the OPS series of phono preamps the most sought after in Hi End Audio.
